Ursus International Conservation Institute is dedicated to the conservation of bears and their habitat. They have all kinds of bear deterrent equiptment, offer tours in bear habitat, and provide consuting services
- Vital Ground Foundation
Vital Ground is an organization dedicated to preserving grizzly habitat. They have as their mascot, Bart, the 1400 lb. Kodiak Brown trained by Doug Seuss. You've likely seen him in a bunch of movies and TV commercials.
- Appalachian Bear Rescue
These folks are one of the few rehabilitation and release groups in the world. They have helped quite a number of bears, and continue to do so. Helping out bears is hard work.
- American Bear Association
These are good folks. Hooked up with the Vince Shute wildlife sanctuary. They are keen on educating people on not feeding bears and on helping the animals to survive.
